Connecting Windows Live Mail to FanMailPlus email
- Open Windows Live Mail.
- Click Add E-mail Account.
- Fill in your information similar to the example below.
- Click Next.
- Fill in the server fields as shown below.
- Logon user name must be YOUR FanMailPlus email address. Everything else should be exactly as shown.
- Click Next.
- You should see a success screen like the one below. If you do not see a success screen you should first check that your password and Logon user name are correct.



Right-click on Account and select Properties to check or edit Your Windows Live Mail FanMailPlus Settings
- General tab
- Mail account: Desired account name.
- User Information
- Name: The name that will accompany your email address
- Organization: Optional.
- Email address: Your full FanMail email address
- Reply address: Optional, defaults to your FanMail email address
- Include this account when receiving or synchronizing: Checked
- Servers tab
- Server Information
- Incoming mail server is a IMAP server
- Incoming mail (IMAP): mail.fanmail.com
- Outgoing mail (SMTP): mail.fanmail.com
- Incoming Mail Server
- Email username: Your full FanMail email address
- Password: Your FanMail password
- Remember password: Optional, NOT recommended if using a public workstation
- Log on using clear text authentication: Checked
- Outgoing Mail Server
- My server requires authentication: Checked
- Click the Settings button.
- Outgoing Mail Server
- Use same settings as my incoming mail server: Checked
- Or, you can check Log on using as shown below
- Account name: Your full FanMail email address
- Password: Your FanMail password
- Remember password: Optional, NOT recommended if using a public workstation

- Security tab (Does not matter to FanMailPlus)

- Server Port Numbers
- Outgoing mail (SMTP): 587
- This server requires a secure connection (SSL): checked
- Incoming mail (IMAP): 993
- This server requires a secure connection (SSL): checked
- Server Timeouts: default
- Sending: default (not checked)

- Root folder path: leave blank
- Check for new messages in all folders: checked
- Special Folders
- Sent items path: Sent
